Johannesburg, South Africa , May 14 2009 - Westcon Africa walked away with two awards from this years
Symantec annual Africa Partner Summit, this year hosted in South Africa.
The Symantec Distribution Partner of the Year 2009 for IWECA , This award acknowledges that Westcon Africa has brought in solid revenue over the past financial year, this in the face of tough economic conditions and tighter reigns on IT spending in general. In addition, this distributor has done a lot for in-country development of the Symantec Enterprise products.
Also awarded was the Symantec Distribution Person of the Year 2009, Awarded to Waheed Adeoye, Westcon Africa - Waheed is a tireless champion for Symantec. Be it providing pricing, licensing advice, setting up and managing in-country Symantec briefing sessions or POCs. He has 7 x Value SSEs, 3 x Volume SSEs, 6 x Value STSs and 2 x Volume STSs. He recruited 50 resellers onto the ASPIRE program in Nigeria.
