
Tom Dolan is a co-founder of the company, and currently holds the position of President and CEO of Westcon Group. He is the former Chairman of the Board and has also held the position of Executive Vice President. Prior to the founding of Westcon, Mr. Dolan was the Manager of Systems Development at Avon Products, Inc. from 1979 to1985. Mr. Dolan holds a BS in engineering from Tulane University. After graduation, Mr. Dolan served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Dean Douglas is Chief Operating Officer of Westcon Group, having joined the company in June of 2008. Prior to joining Westcon Group, Mr. Douglas was Chief Executive Officer of LCC International, the world's largest independent wireless engineering professional services firm. Before that, Mr. Douglas held global, senior executive roles at both IBM and Motorola, where he managed industries such as distribution and telecommunications as well as worldwide business development.
John P. O’Malley III is Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Westcon Group. He joined the Company as its Vice President, Worldwide Finance in March 1999. Mr. O’Malley was engaged in financial consulting from November 1997 to March 1999. From September 1996 to November 1997, Mr. O’Malley was Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Medical Resources, Inc. From December 1992 to September 1996, Mr. O’Malley served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of NMR of America, Inc. and was initially employed by NMR as director of finance in May 1992. From August 1984 to May 1992, Mr. O’Malley was employed by the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP and its predecessors, most recently as an Audit Manager. Mr. O’Malley is a certified public accountant with a BS in accounting from the University of Delaware.
Anthony Daley is Executive Vice President, the Americas, Westcon Group. Prior to that he has held senior positions within the Company including Senior Vice President and General Manager, the Americas and General Manager, Westcon. Mr. Daley began his tenure at Westcon in August 1999 as Vice President of Sales for the U.S. region. Prior to Westcon, Mr. Daley served as Vice President of Sales at Anixter. Mr. Daley was educated at Gwinett County Community College, North Carolina and attended Columbia University Executive Education, New York City.
Barry Shakespeare joined Westcon Group as its Executive Vice President, European Sales and Operations in September, 2005 and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, Westcon Group Europe. Prior to joining Westcon Group, Shakespeare held the role of President, channel and partner sales EMEA for Nortel Networks and prior to that held executive positions both in the channel and at various manufacturers of data communications and PBX systems. He was educated at Ashridge and Henley Management Colleges in the U.K.
Duncan Potter is Chief Marketing Officer and has been with Westcon Group since May, 2004. Prior to joining Westcon, Mr. Potter held various positions as Vice President, Product Marketing and Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Extreme Networks, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide field, channel, corporate, and relationship marketing activities. From October 1999 to October 2000 he was Senior Product Line Manager, Storage and Local Area Networks at Cisco. From September 1989 to October 1999 Mr. Potter held various positions at 3Com Corporation including Director, Product Marketing from July 1997 to October 1999 and European Product Marketing Manager from November 1994 to July 1997.
William Hurley, Chief Information Officer, Westcon Group, Bill joined Westcon Group as CIO in April 2008, and is currently responsible for all IT for the organization. Prior to joining Westcon, he was a Managing Director with Marsh & McLennan for 5 years, where he was Global CIO/CIO Americas responsible for global sales, marketing and finance systems, as well as brokerage systems for the Americas. In addition, he oversaw the development of the company's global internet, intranet and extranet presence. Bill received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from SUNY Albany and has a Masters in Finance from Fordham University.
Chris Leeming, Vice President Business Operations, Westcon Group
Chris Leeming has been Westcon Group's Vice President of Business Operations since August, 2007. In this role, he is responsible for the Company's global distribution model. Leeming came to Westcon Group from Blake Equipment, where he was Chief Financial Officer and responsible for Blake's financial activities. Prior to that, Leeming was Vice President of Finance for Westcon Group North America, a position he held for six years. Before that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Datatec South Africa. Leeming holds a B.Com from University of Witwaterrand, South Africa and a CTA from University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a Chartered Accountant (S.A.)
Nancy Saltzman began working for Westcon Group in December, 2004 and was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in April, 2005. Prior to joining Westcon, she was a corporate transactional lawyer for Dewey Ballentine, LLP where she was responsible for mergers & acquisitions and securities offerings. Before that, Saltzman was Vice President, Investor Relations and Associate General Counsel for Chartwell Re, the reinsurance firm. She holds a BA from Amherst College, and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
Kevin Cooney has been Westcon Group's Vice President of Financial Planning since December, 2006. Prior to that he was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, a position he held since October, 2003. He began working with Westcon Group in 2000 and has held positions including Senior Analyst and Manager of Budgeting. Prior to joining Westcon, Cooney was employed by Orange and Rockland Utilities, where he held management positions in the budgeting and finance areas. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an MBA from Iona College.
David DeLuke is Vice President of Human Resources for Westcon Group and is responsible for the Company's worldwide human resource functions. Prior to his current role, he held positions with Westcon Group including Director of Human Resources and Director of Recruitment. David joined Westcon Group in January, 1999 and was previously employed by companies including Entex, Rivers Consulting and Source Service. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut University.
