Otavio Lazarini Barbosa- Otavio Lazarini Barbosa has been Westcon Group Latin America´s SVP since 2010, and has served as General Manager of Westcon Brazil since October 1998. He joined TelSist Informática, a local value added distributor of networking solutions, in December 1991 and held positions in the technical services department until 1995 and business development until 1997. TelSist Informática was acquired by Westcon Group in October 1998 and became Westcon Brasil. Sergio Basílio – Managing Director – Westcon Brasil- Sergio Basilio joined Westcon Brazil as Managing Director in Aug 2011. He had previously worked for Telsist in 1993 and left the company 2 years after to start a 17 years career in IT manufactures like Cheyenne Software, CA, Veritas, Symantec and Infor. He held Channel VP and Channel Director for Brazil and Latin America positions in these companies. During this period he and his team had managed directly more than 60 different Distributors and a couple of thousands resellers and integrator all over Latin America. Most of them were visited personally by Basilio in all Brazilian States and more than 15 countries in LATAM. Basilio has a B.S in Electronic Engineering from PUC – Rio, an MBA degree from Fundação Dom Cabral and University of British Columbia in Vancouver and a Post-MBA from Kellogg Business School in Chicago.

Humberto Pradal – Finance Director – Westcon Latin America- Humberto Pradal started in Westcon Brasil in January 1999 as Finance Manager and most recently took over the Latam Finance department. Prior to joining Westcon he worked at Coopers & Lybrand as an external auditor from September 1992 to January 1999. Starting as a trainee Humberto held various positions up to senior auditor in charge of audit teams for public companies, and projects on mergers and acquisitions and due diligences. Humberto Pradal graduated from Candido Mendes University of Rio de Janeiro with a BSc degree in Economic Sciences – Brasil (92) and has an MBA from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro - Brasil (98).

Débora Gutierrez – Marketing Director – Westcon Latin America- Prior to assuming the role of marketing director for Latin America (May 2011), Débora Gutierrez was Business Unit Manager, leading a team of systems engineers and product managers focused on the security market. In this position Débora was instrumental in implementing a new concept of relationship with sales channels, based on solution expertise. Previously she held positions in the Product department for four years. Prior to joining Westcon Group in 2004, Débora occupied product positions at other distributors, including Bull Networking. Earlier in her career she was a technician at Brazilian IT companies in the late nineties. She holds a BSc Degree in Business Administration from Faculdades Estácio de Sá (2005) and an IT technician degree from Instituto Radial de Ensino e Pesquisa (2001), in São Paulo. A specialist in communication, she also graduated as a Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming from IBPNL – Instituto Brasileiro de Programação Neuro Linguística (2009).

Luis Claudio Carvalho-Luis Claudio Carvalho has served as Operations Director of Westcon Group Latin America since October 1998. He joined TelSist Informática Ltda, a local value added distributor of networking solutions, in September 1992 and held positions in the technical services department until 1996 and operations department until 1998. TelSist Informática Ltda was acquired by Westcon Group, Inc in October 1998 and became Westcon Brasil Ltda, when he was appointed Operations Director of Westcon Brasil. Luis has a BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – Brasil (92).

Marcos Murata, Business Development Director, Comstor Brazil - Murata was appointed to his current position in July 2010. He currently leads the Comstor Product Management, Engineering and Marketing teams in Brazil and is focused on the development of the Go to Market strategy to support reseller recruitment, enablement and growth plans aligned with Cisco, RSA and NetApp strategy. He is also supporting the implementation of the GTM strategy for Comstor Mexico. When he first joined the company in 2005, he held positions in the Sales and Product departments and was then appointed as head of Product Management. He also has several years’ experience at the reseller level, having worked in the IT industry since 1997 and has been working with Cisco solutions for 10 years. Murata graduated in Information Systems from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 2002.

Alexandre Hideyoshi Nakano- today the Commercial Director of Comstor, started in Westcon in 2007, hired to structure Cisco’s distribution in Brazil. He was initially appointed as the BDM and in just one year he became the Service Provider’s commercial manager for CPE Distribution. Already in the first year he signed the first major contract with Telefônica, which today is Comstor’s biggest client. In 2009 he took over the TOP Resellers area together with the Service Provider area. In 2010 with the new Comstor division, he became Commercial Director responsible for the whole of Brazil, and that same year his team won the Distributor of the Year award at Cisco’s Partner Summit event. In 2011 he closed his second major deal, this time with Embratel, which became the company’s second biggest client, and his team carried off the CRN award as the Distributor of the Year. A graduate in Electronic Engineering with an MBA in Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, he is currently doing an MBA in Finance at the Insper Institute of Education and Research’s IBMEC Business School.

Andres Irazabalo- Andres Irazabal has served as Technology Director at Westcon Group Latin America since September 2006. He joined TelSist Informática Ltda in December 1993, and served in various positions in the technical department until 1998. TelSist Informática Ltda was acquired by Westcon Group, Inc in October 1998, and became Westcon Brasil Ltda, when Andres was appointed as Technical Services Manager due to his long experience and achievements in the technical services area. With the growth and expansion of the business to other Latin America and Caribbean countries, Andres took up a business-focused IT and technology leadership position as Technology Director, in 2006. Andres Irazabal has a BSc Degree in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – Brasil (93) where he graduated with honors and received a full performance scholarship during his studies – as well as a Lato Sensu Executive MBA degree from Coppead, UFRJ (Rio de Janeiro’s Federal University) in 2002.

Helio Guimarães- Helio Guimaraes has been serving as General Manager, CANSAC region at Westcon CALA since 2008. Before that and since 1999, he held management positions in sales, marketing and business development at Westcon Brasil Ltda. Helio also held a technical services manager position from 1996 to 1998 at Telsist Informática Ltda, which was acquired by the Westcon Group in 1998 to become Westcon Brasil. In the earlier days of his career until 1995 he served as a product specialist at IBM Brasil Ltda. Helio Guimaraes has a BSc Degree in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – Brasil (92) and an M.B.A. from the University of Warwick in the U.K. (99).
