Westcon Middle East inks strategic agreement for distribution of S2 Security Corporation's IP Integrated Security products
Westcon ME, a leading value-added distributor of security, convergence, identification and infrastructure products and solutions for some of the top technology vendors, has signed a distribution agreement with S2 Security Corporation (headquartered in Massachusetts, USA) providing Integrated Security solutions for an IP connected world.
S2 Security Corporation is an innovator in the development of network based integrated physical security systems supporting access control, alarm monitoring, temperature monitoring, video and intercom and the first to deploy network appliance architecture with a web browser delivered user interface, vastly reducing installation and maintenance costs while increasing reliability.
"S2 Security products are uniquely advanced integrated physical security management systems. The flagship product of S2 Security Corporation is the S2 NetBox, a network appliance that enables facilities of all types to manage their physical security needs from anywhere over IP network" said Phil Mailes, Director EMEA for S2. The NetBox utilizes a new 3G system architecture that moves advanced physical security capabilities to the network edge, eliminating the need for a separate PC based servers and at the same time incorporating all data security techniques required to keep it safe and secure.
"The closed-product security solutions are slowly moving to open systems. This architecture makes it possible to deploy systems that scale from single facilities to multi-site organisations. The network connectivity and browser based user interface makes the system completely independent of geography, enabling users and system integrators to perform monitoring, control and maintenance from any computer at any location with a network" adds Venu Menon, Sales Director of WestconME.
The process of plugging into the network and remote monitoring the system gives the System Integrator a major advantage of reducing maintenance time. The security provider can now access the system offsite, thus increasing employee productivity and improved level of customer service. Another benefit for the System Integrator would be easy access with excellent video integration without licensed software download.
